To be recognised as competent at a task or competent to hold a position of responsibility, it is often essential to be able to demonstrate your training, your experience and also that you are current and up to date. Furthermore, experience and currency often have to be validated independently by another person with the right credentials. The CPD Log doubles as a Vocational Competency Log beacause it has the ability to validate input.
All relevant training and work can be logged and signed off by a third party to build a competency log that demonstrates that you have the training and experience necessary for your appointment or to gain accreditation. Multiple people can sign off entries if necessary and the log automatically provides a link to public information about people authorising you in order that their credentials can be confirmed.
The log contains a range of basic fields that can be appropriated for most common tracking requirements. However, if the standard log only goes part way towards meeting your requirements, it can be customised for your organisation or specialism.

The screen you see is a log with three entries. The first two have been validated by Jill Pryse-Davies so they are now locked and can no longer be edited by Peter, the log's owner. To find out more about Jill and Kerry, you can follow the links through to their public profiles.
